Support the Troops
You might not agree with Ron Paul in the US, but listen to this American soldier. Does our government honestly think we don't have soldiers with the same sentiments on the ground in Afghanistan?
Supporting the Troops requires listening to them, all of them and even when they say things that you don't agree with. Some soldiers don't support the mission.
Or does that make them - and me - Taliban sympathizers? Or traitors? Or 'islamofacists'?
Hat tip to Lew Rockwell.
Update:
In case some smug Conservative supporter thinks they are somehow different, they are not.

Exactly! Good post.
I have no doubt that there are a few Canadian soldiers that are against the mission. It impossible to know what is going through the minds of every soldier we sent over ther so I won't even try. I can only share what I know first hand.
I'm ex-military and I have had many friends go through "The Stan". The majority I know are for the mission. One buddy was against the mission before he left, when I talked to him at his welcome home, he had completely changed his mind. He was glad he went and is putting in for another rotation.
What soldiers are really sick of is people who have never spent a day in uniform speaking for them.
I agree with you. They can speak for themselves. We should listen.
Mike,
It is hilarious when morons with an IQ of a houseplant use word like "rational" or "reasons", but the humor must be lost on you.
Even more humourous when slack-jawed bigots have to pretend to be something they are not in order to convince people of something.
Here's an idea "Muslims Against Sharia" fuck off and go back to your Klan meeting, m-kay?
BTW, thanks for stopping by and further proving you are nothing more than a right-wing Astroturf fraud organization. One that asks for money, but won't give details on governance and spending - gosh, not just a fraud, but a thieving fraud.
Oh, have you okayed the membership of Balbulican and his two Muslim friends yet? I'm curious to see actual Muslims in your organization...
